Photo Point Procedure
Objective:
A photo point is done in order to observe the change which will occur in a certain location over a point of time. This procedure will show how to establish a photo point
Materials
Compass
Tape
Meter Stick
GPS
1. Locate what you would like to observe. (Point A)
2. Locate a point in which to take the picture from (Point B)
3. Once (Point B) has been created use the GPS to discover its exact location. Write the longitude and latitude on the photo point data sheet
4. Measure the distance between (point A) and (point B). Record this measurement on the photo point data sheet.
5. Stand on (point B). Use a compass to locate the directional degrees( point B) is located from (point A). Write degrees on photo point data sheet
6. Draw a map which will allow you to locate this point in the future
